Rounding, unit conversion, and floating-point arithmetic can all introduce small differences between a calculator output and a hand-calculated or instrument-measured value. The precision toggle (2, 4, or 6 decimal places) controls only what is displayed — the underlying computation always uses full floating-point precision.
